Virgin Mobile Phones

Virgin mobile is a brand name used by mobile services providers around the world. Virgin Mobile became the world's first Mobile Virtual Network Operator when they launched in UK in 1998. Virgin uses the services and networks of other local mobile services providers and uses their brand name. Virgin is a business group headed by noted serial entrepreneur Sir Richard Branson.

In UK, Virgin uses T-Mobile nework; in USA they use Sprint Nextel; in India they have tied up with Tata teleservices; in Australia Virgin works on Optus; in Canada they partnered with Bell Mobility. In most of their markets Virigin Mobile is known for their attractive 'no frills' pricing. In UK, for example, their pay-as-you-go model is more sought after than any other network because of better pricing.

Virgin offers both CDMA and GSM depending on the country they are operating. They are offering GSM in UK, Australia, South Africa and France. In India and Canada they offer CDMA.
