VertuVertu Mobile Phones

Vertu is a British manufacturer and retailer of high-end luxury mobile phones. The company is a wholly-owned subsidiary of mobile giant Nokia. The Vertu mobile concept is similar to designer watches, such Rado and Rolex. The phones target high-end posh clientele with designer tastes.

The Vertu mobiles come with high price tags. One of the costliest model they released, Signature Cobra, was priced at US$310,000. Even though the Vertu range starts at $5100, their best-seller Signature Diamond series sells at $88000.

Each Vertu mobile phone is hand-made in Vertu's British factory at Church Crookham, Hampshire. All these mobiles are made from premium materials such as gold, decked with diamonds, rubies, sapphires and expensive leather.

Vertu mobiles are only available through Vertu's own branded stores and some selected stores, such as Harrods and Selfridges in UK. The first flagship store opened in 2002 in Paris. They now have around 600 stores around the world.
