Nec Mobile Phones

NEC was formed on July 17, 1899 as a result of the joint venture between Nippon Electric Limited and western electric. It started with the production and sales of telephones and switches. NEC started exporting telephone handsets to China in the year 1904. NEC entered the China and Korean markets in 1908 as a telephone service provider. NEC has played vital role in the expansion of phone services in Japan.

NEC also started importing vacuum cleaners, electric fans, and kitchen appliances for sale in Japan to boost company sales. By 1913 government added 75000 thousand more phone subscribers under their telephone expansion plan and the sales of NEC really went high during that period. By the year 2009 NEC had 143,327 employees worldwide and had a revenue of 4.215 trillion Yen.
